Laureles is one of Medellín's safest, greenest and most walkable neighborhoods: leafy streets, quiet during the day and lively at night. In the neighborhood: First Laureles Park: a gathering spot surrounded by cafés, restaurants and local boutiques. La 70: one of the city's most popular streets, known for its nightlife, bars, restaurants and live music. Atanasio Girardot Stadium and Sports Complex: football matches and concerts, and a good place to walk or run. Nutibara Avenue: a strip of local cafés and restaurants. Unicentro: shopping, dining, supermarkets and everyday essentials. The Medellín Metro and the rest of the public transport network are easy to reach, which makes it straightforward to visit Comuna 13, Plaza Botero and Parque Explora.
