Villa Ottagonale is a poetic and elegant retreat that feels straight out of a dream. With its octagonal layout, charming greenhouse, circular salons, and French windows framing the lake’s waters and surrounding statues, this villa offers a unique visual and sensory experience. It is surrounded by a secret garden filled with flowers, marble pathways, statues, and vibrant wildlife: dragonflies, ducks, water lilies, and the occasional heron complete this magical setting. Here, nature comes alive and wraps you in an atmosphere of serenity, where the houses with their refined furnishings appear like gemstones embedded in the landscape. Though the world carries on not far away, with the daily bustle of Lake Maggiore, everything slows down at La Foleia to let you live an intimate connection with beauty and calm.
Your stay includes a daily breakfast with hot drinks (tea, coffee, cappuccino), freshly squeezed juices, croissants and fresh bread, local jams and honey, fruit, yogurt, homemade granola, and organic cereals. You’ll also enjoy daily housekeeping, scheduled according to your preferences, ensuring everything is perfect without disturbing your rest. In addition, you’ll have access to our outdoor SPA, featuring a Finnish sauna with lake views and two natural stone pools with water at 38°C—perfect for deep relaxation in a breathtaking setting.
If you’d like to enhance your stay with something extra special, we offer a variety of optional services: a bar and private chef for intimate dinners, another pool with water at 26°C, massages and wellness treatments, a vintage motorboat rental (40 hp, no license required) to explore Lake Maggiore and the Borromean Islands, transfers to and from Milan Malpensa Airport or train stations, and even horseback riding through the forest and along the Ticino River.

Check-in is from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; after that time, self check-in will be available. Check-out is by 11:00 a.m.
Cancellations are free of charge up to 22 days before arrival. After that period, no refunds will be issued for cancellations or changes.
Photos or videos for commercial purposes are not allowed during your stay.
Open from March 1st to November 15th, 2025. Outside of these dates, the property is available only for photo shoots and private events (no overnight stays).
